7th edition of: DECOUVERTES TUNISIE 21

El Jem is one of the most beautiful cities in the mid-south of Tunisia : One of the biggest historical Roman ruins is located there. The place inspires you a huge power and perhaps you’ll find yourself daydreaming about the roman empire that existed thousands and thousands of years ago. In this impressive surroundings, Nabil Khemir gave his concert on August, 19th 2005.

In 2009, Nabil Khemir was artistic advisor of the International Jazz Festival of Tabarka. The great virtuous guitarist Al di Meola, was included in the program.
This picture was taken after the concert, followed by a wonderful and amazing jam session between the two guitar players. About this Nabil Khemir says : ‘ It was an unforgettable moment : Al di Meola is a wonderful artist and we both look forward to play with each other again!’.

The First time that Nabil Khemir participated at the International Jazz Festival in Tabarka of Tunisia was in 2005 : In this edition he introduced his new album ‘Parfum d’orient et d’occident’ in cooperation with great Dutch musicians : Monica Akihari (Vocals) Niels Brouwer (Guitar), Mark Haanstra (Bass) and Sebastiaan Kaptein (Percussion).
